Radiesse near Fort Lauderdale, FL
For patients in Fort Lauderdale and Broward County who struggle with many types of facial wrinkles and folds, treatments with Radiesse® in Coral Springs can provide smoothing relief. In his plastic surgery practice, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David J. Levens offers treatments with Radiesse® to greatly diminish some of the most common signs of aging.
What is Radiesse®?
Made with calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a water gel, Radiesse® is injected into depressions on the face, like wrinkles, to fill them and restore a more youthful appearance. Radiesse® is preferred for several reasons. Plastic surgeons find it to be a durable and easy to use filler, which is also bio-compatible.
How Much Does Radiesse® Cost?
The cost of treatment with Radiesse® is based upon an individual treatment plan that Dr. Levens develops during your consultation. After the appointment, we provide you with a total cost and explain our payment options, including cash, personal check, Visa®, MasterCard® and American Express®. If you are interested in financing your Radiesse® treatments, our patient coordinators will explain how to apply for CareCredit®, Alphaeon Credit, or Prosper® Healthcare Lending.

When you come into Dr. Levens practice for your consultation, he will devise a treatment plan specialized for your needs. Not only will he inspect your skin using his skilled aesthetic eye, but he will also ask you about your aesthetic goals. Combining these two methods will help Dr. Levens best correct your personal signs of aging.
What Happens During Radiesse® Treatment?
When you come into Dr. Levens’ office for your Radiesse® treatment in Coral Springs, your face will first be cleansed to prepare it for the injection treatment. Dr. Levens may choose to administer a topical anesthetic prior to treatment, but may apply an ice pack prior. This will increase your comfort during the procedure.
Using advanced techniques like fanning or crosshatching, Dr. Levens will inject a specific amount of Radiesse® solution beneath the surface of your skin. This will yield an immediate correction to the wrinkle. To ensure proper placement of the product and a smooth result, Dr. Levens may also briefly massage the injection area.
After Radiesse®
When your treatment has been completed, you may experience some redness or slight swelling at the treatment site, but these are both temporary. Applying an ice pack may help curb any swelling. Dr. Levens will ask that you refrain from strenuous activity for 24 hours, but you should be able to go about your normal routine.
The wrinkle-smoothing effects of your treatment with Radiesse® should last about one year. During this time, your body will slowly break down and reabsorb the solution naturally. For this reason, patients often elect to return to Dr. Levens for touch-up treatments, which will maintain the result.
